HIGHLIGHTS OF 2014

Where did this year go? Having traveled to sub-urban Virginia for the Christmas holiday, I’ve had more than enough peace and quiet to reflect on the year that was 2014. Looking back, I have so much to be grateful for and celebrate. It’s been a year of growth for me. Personally, I’ve learned that I can’t please everybody (it’s quite exhausting). I’ve learned that being uncomfortable is a good thing, because on the other side is great reward.

I’ve learned to let go of the good, to make room for the great.

It’s also been an amazing year of growth for Lean Girls Club. This blog is a constant reminder of all the blessings in my life. I am grateful for each of you: reading, sharing, and engaging. I read every comment/email, and take your words to heart. I hope to continue to inspire you, challenge you, and show you how much I care about your health and life.

  • Love your blog and so happy to have found it! To answer your question what have I learned in 2014? Well so much but biggest take away is sometimes is needed to fail in other to grow and wake you up. Earlier this year I struggled to achieve several of my fitness goals and was down about it but thanks to my blog making me accountable forced me to realize is ok, I am human but now how will I get up and do something to change it.

Thanks for sharing your stories and motivation. Have a prosperous 2015!!

  • What an awesome year you’ve had! It’s been really fun to see all the things you’ve done and watch your blog become even more amazing than it was.

Something I learned in 2014 that I’m proud of is Photoshop (or at least I’ve started to – thanks to your support) but also that I am stronger than I sometimes think!
