Today is Day 12, the last day of My Favorite Things. I’ve shared how much I love fitness and healthy living by giving away Asics shoes, Lululemon yoga pants, a Clean Bottle SQUARE water bottle, adidas miCoach (which you still have time to enter – it closes tonight at 11:59 pm EST), and more. Today’s favorite thing is my Parker Jotter Pen.

Parker Jotter Pen review and giveaway

A good pen is necessary in the business world, like a nice pair of shoes or watch. In the business world, these small details make all the difference in the world. Parker Pens is known for their craftsmanship and is quite the status symbol. This pen is a pen I DO NOT lend to people. I did that once and because the person never returned it (because they never do!), I had to chase her down and ask for it 🙂

I received my first Parker Jotter Pen when I went back to school with Blogshop and learned how to use photoshop. Learning how to use photoshop not only gave me a new skill to apply at the office, but it’s helped me grow my blog Lean Girls Club tremendously in the last two years. While this pen is not the photoshop program or the actual skill, it reminds me to be commitmented to learning and improving myself. The pen actually reminds me a lot of running, and how I am constantly challenged to be better. We are never finished growing, learning, or improving.

Today I’m giving away one Jotter Pen from Parker Pens to one lucky winner. I have the pen in white and love it.

To enter this giveaway, comment below sharing one thing you’d like to learn how to do in 2015. This is not about making unrealistic new years resolutions, but rather stating your intention and taking the first step towards a goal. I would like to learn how to code in 2015. There are few women who know how to do this, and I’d like to teach myself. Are any of you coders? If so, contact me! 😉 And as always, receive an extra entry for each share on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram – just tag @leangirlsclub.

Entries will be accepted until December 29th at 11:59 pm EST. One lucky winner will be selected at random. Open to US residents only. Sorry!

Thanks for letting me share my 12 Favorite Things with you these last few weeks, and thanks for entering. I hope you’ve enjoyed them as much as I have. As we wind down for the holidays, I just want to wish you and yours a safe and love-filled Christmas and holiday season. Tell someone you love them today!

Ah! I’m actually looking into learning how to code for the new year! Other than coding, I’d love to learn more (and be certified) in Digital Marketing & Social Media 🙂

Thanks for all these fun opportunities! & Merry Christmas!

    • @fat_nat:disqus – how does one get certified in digital marketing and social media? Are there degrees for that now? I definitely have those skills professionally…maybe I should look into getting certified too?

      • nat

I’m sure you can get a degree, but a few schools in NYC offer a course under their continuing education program. So instead of a degree you receive a certificate stating your completion. It’s a field that’s going to be around for sometime. I doubt the digital world is going anywhere soon 😉 im actually looking into it so I can make a possible career change.

  • Ken C

As an IT person, I am always learning. For 2015 will be Office635 and Exchange

    • @disqus_hpZuALk9Vh:disqus – Office365? I have not heard of that…will have to look into it.

  • Justine

I’d also like to learn how to code! A friend recommended

    • @disqus_poLBbjb7i5:disqus – I have heard great things about Code Academy. Did your friend take a class with them?

      • Justine

        She did the online tutorials.

  • Kellie

I’d like to learn how to live in a big city by myself! I plan on moving to LA in 2015 🙂

    • @disqus_xUCpDtX6JH:disqus – that is quite a big city to move to. But like New York, if you can make it there you can make it anywhere 🙂 Best of luck with your move! Very exciting. You can’t beat Cali weather!

      • Kellie

Thank you! I am super excited!! 🙂

  • joe.wong

Id like to learn how to Interview my friends and interview significant influencers on my blog. Thanks for sharing. I love pens too! Joe

    • Joe – what is your blog? I am confident that you’ll be able to do it! Blogging has opened so many doors for me too. Best of luck with that.

  • Wendy

I would like to learn not to focus on food so much in 2015 =___= always thinking about what to eat next, and binging on junk!

    • @disqus_PCNdhKyxJV:disqus – that’s always tough one. I think of food constantly. Is it possible that you’re restricting yourself and not eating enough…and then binging? Sometimes binging is not a sign of not having enough restraint, but too much. Our bodies NEED food…but it needs the good stuff. The junk only gives that instant/fast satisfaction.

  • Fluffy Healthy

I would like to learn to be more mindful of what I eat 🙂 I need to watch my portions better 🙂

    • @fluffyhealthy:disqus – definitely a worthy goal. I’ve learned this year that if you don’t have a plan, then you’re bound to not stick with your goals. If you leave the house not knowing what you’re going to eat for breafast, lunch, or dinner then you’re more likely to cheat on the junk. Leave the house knowing that you’re having x meal at y time…you’re less likely to stray from it!

  • tweetyscute

I would love to learn to scuba in 2015

    • @disqus_SpJvWw3Qku:disqus – oooooh…I’d love to learn how to do that too, somewhere far far away and warm!

  • Denise Konkel

I would like to learn more French

  • rachel

I’d like to learn how to make croissants!

  • I’d love to learn how to crochet and sew!

  • Serena Powell

There are a lot of things I would love to learn in 2015; how to knit, how to swim, how to be healthy, and yoga to name a few.

  • marybeth
