Workouts To Check Out While There’s Snow On The Ground

Comments Off on Workouts To Check Out While There’s Snow On The Ground

I have to confess that my running has been very limited these days. I’m in fourth place (out of 16) in my #IndependenceDayTwoFiddy Nike+ Challenge and am about twelve miles behind schedule in my goal to run 2,015 miles in 2015. I’ve got a bit of catching up to do so that’s why I headed out yesterday for a run. Needless to say, it was a big fail. I quit after mile two not because it was cold, but because I found myself slipping and sliding in slush and ice.

While I commend anyone who is brave enough to attempt running in the cold, I strongly discourage you from doing so if road conditions are not safe…like it was for me yesterday. When you safety or well-being is in question, that is the only time it is ok to quit.

Stop slipping and sliding in the snow, put your running on hold for a few days, and check out the following workouts this week.
