Do you wear underwear when you work out? If you’re like me, you are asking yourself, “is that even a question?” Well, yes, it is. The fact is 50% of women do not always wear underwear when they exercise. One reason might be because of a little piece of fabric in some workout clothes that gives you the feeling of wearing underwear. It’s called a gusset. Gussets are misleading because they look like underwear, especially in running shorts. Gussets were invented to add breadth and reduce stress from tight clothes during Medieval Times. We thought our skinny jeans were tight, right? Clothes in Middle Ages were tighter and gussets were used to give shoulders, underarms, and hems some slack. You’ve seen these things hold pony tails for Jennifer Aniston and Kourtney Kardashian. But unlike your favorite celebs, I don’t want to pay $8 for the Emi-Jay for Splendid snag free hair ties. Here’s how you can make your own snag free hair ties for under $2. All you need is colorful elastics from your local craft or trimmings store. My favorite place is M&J in NYC. Each hair tie needs nine inches of elastic trimming. *Now Reading: The Clean & Lean Diet* These take about a minute to make. I made a few of these snag free hair ties before heading out to run this weekend’s Oakley Mini 10k with Lisa at Early Morning Run.
