The holiday season is filled with lots of reasons to celebrate. It was an epic year for me: I got married, brought home a puppy, starred in a Dove commercial, ran my fifth NYC Marathon, traveled all over the world, remained healthy, and more. I partnered with Drizly to find a way to celebrate. I decided to host my own get together with some loved ones to celebrate an early Christmas and our 6-month wedding anniversary. The holiday season can be overwhelming with the abundance of office parties, get-togethers, and dinners but I couldn’t leave town to meet my real family without celebrating with my NYC family. I’m no Martha Stewart, but one of the main benefits of hosting is that I can to control what we eat and drink. I’ve been traveling a lot the last few weeks and in need of girl time. I’ve been in San Francisco and Oslo, Norway taking care of some business. While I love being on the road, I absolutely miss the stability of home and my loved ones. CONFESSIONS OF A FITNESS BLOGGER: I Don’t Eat Healthy All The Time

Happy Monday Lean Girls! I hope you all had a lovely Easter and Passover Holiday. Last time I did a Confessions post, I shared how I hate food prep. While I’ve gotten better about food and make large batches of brown rice and stocking the fridge with veggies, I’m not perfect. One of the biggest misconceptions about me, now that people know that I’m a fitness blogger and lover of all things healthy, is that people are SHOCKED (seriously, some have gasped) to learn that I eat french fries, love buffalo wings, drink wine, and enjoy the occasional ice cream cone. On the flip side, I LOVE and prefer spinach, kale, quinoa, berries, hummus, seeds, nuts, and fish. Food from the earth nourishes me and makes me feel good.
