DERMALOGICA FOR HEALTHY SKIN

Day 9 of 12 Days of My Favorite Things. I love Dermalogica not only because the products work but it’s a company that believes that healthy skin is a part of body therapy and a healthy body. While some dermatologists swear that what we eat has nothing to do with the condition of our skin, I don’t believe it one bit. (In fact, the holiday eating and drinking has caused my skin to break out this week.) My skin always looks and feels better when I eat clean, exercise, sleep well, and drink water. After all the work I put in my body, why wouldn’t I want my skin to also look great? It’s the one organ I cannot replace! Being healthy is being balanced in all aspects of life.

    My favorite skin tip is definitely drinking lots and lots of water. I have heard soap with egg whites is great for the skin, and I’ve been wanting to try it!

    Drink water, get a good amount of sleep, taking off your makeup and not wearing a whole lot of makeup, vaseline (I use this mixed into my moisturizer if my skin is super dry or to remove eye makeup), and not stressing are my favorite skin tips

    My favorite tip is to wash your face twice, two times a day. The first time removes all things harmful to the skin, while the second has a clean slate to really do work to improve the skin.

    Avoid UV rays! They’re the #1 skin ager. Get vitamin D from your diet, not from the sun. I hate sunscreen with the passion of a thousand suns, so I cover up as much as possible. I’m a big fan of wide-brimmed hats.

  • OOO I really like Dermologica ever since I tried out their stuff from FitBlogNYC but they are pricey. I try not to wear too much make up because I have an issue with acne but also my face seems to ALWAYS be oily.

  • I just drink lots of water. It’s not a huge beauty secret but it’s the best. Also, I like using coconut oil to moisturise my skin.
